Success in business and in life is a process, not an event. It's an on-going, always growing and expanding life enhancing activity. Whatever metrics you use to determine your success, the most useful definition of success I've heard so far comes from Bob Dylan:

"A person is a success if he gets up in the morning and goes to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do".

I love the simplicity of that!  For many people, myself included, success means freedom to pursue whatever is your heart's desire burning bright and hot within you.
