Have you ever thought about the words you use in your daily life? What words do you choose in all your conversations? Are they useful, helpful, uplifting and inspiring to you and others?
Your words are very important in determining how you feel about you. How do your words make you feel? This is a simple question. Thinking about the answer is a good idea. In my business life, I hear lots of words coming out of the people that I come into contact with. I pay attention to words. The words people use in conversation are nothing more than the representation or reflection of what’s going on with them on the inside. When you are discussing a painful or difficult situation with someone, are the words you choose those of a victor or a victim?
Here’s a powerful little experiment you may want to try on yourself. Write down the 10 words you seem to use the most in conversation. Are they words of empowerment, hope, leadership, and inspiration? If not, you may want to become more aware of the words coming out of your mouth. All the successful people I have met, choose their words carefully and speak in tones that reflect their devotion to their dreams and higher ideals. When you choose language composed of words that make you and others feel better, you automatically produce a greater result.
Words are powerful. Your words are the bricks that pave the road you walk on in life. Choose them wisely.
