Thomson,
Very well stated.
Two things stand out to me.

1. Media Fasting.
Great suggestion. I know that the media hypes things just to get eyeballs on their content. Eyeballs=advertising revenue and makes sense if you are on their side of the equation. However, overall I think it does a disservice to the average citizen in terms of staying informed.

2. Forget the Future.
Again another great suggestion. Really all we have is the present moment. Sure tomorrow will come but none of us are guaranteed to be here for that (not intending to sound grim :-) Instead focusing on the present moment and the opportunities it presents are key.

Keep up the great work with your blog. Enjoying every post.

-Bert

Hey Thomson,
Thank-you for stating so clearly what we all need to remember! I think that there is an incredible opportunity in this chaos to see the corruption and greed that still reign supreme, and that we can no longer, as a humanity, continue this way. A rebalancing of our value system must occur, there IS enough for everybody!
Thank-you for all your wisdom!

Some useful idea here stated lucidly. The part of there being no future is so true, existential and forces one to live in the now. Practical suggestions well stated.
